Website accessibility
Help Us Make Information Easier to Use
Veterans, caregivers, and community members use different devices and ways of navigating the web. Clear, usable information is part of the CareForVets approach.
Our design approach
The public website is designed around readable text, clear headings, generous spacing, and direct links to useful information. Care and caregiver pathways are available without creating an account.
Our accessibility work focuses on practical use: navigating with a keyboard, understanding link destinations, using pages on narrow screens, enlarging text, and completing a general inquiry with clear labels and feedback.
- Use headings and page structure to make content easier to navigate.
- Keep essential information in text and describe informative images.
- Make controls and keyboard focus visible.
- Explain unfamiliar terms and provide helpful form instructions.
- Avoid unnecessary motion and keep paths to resources straightforward.
Report an access problem
If something prevents you from using the site, email info@careforvets.com or visit the contact page for available contact options.
Please share the page address, what you were trying to do, and what happened. If useful, include your browser or the assistive technology involved. Medical information and details about a disability are not needed to report the problem.
Outside resources
Each outside organization manages its own website and access options. If an external link is difficult to use, tell us which resource is involved so we can investigate the link and its published access information.
Continued improvement
Accessibility requires ongoing review as content and features change. This page describes our design approach and feedback route; it is not a claim of independent certification. Specific barriers help identify the improvements that matter most.
